The East Side of Los Angeles is associated with its rich multicultural art, music scene and its working class ideals. Originating from the east side Lucid Sound is comprised of 6 members with distinct musical influences. In light of these differences their vision of creating a “wall of sound†with dreamscape guitars, swooning vocals and driving rhythms is achieved. Lucid Sound can be described as Shoegaze Rock-Indie Pop which evokes the audience’s hidden emotions.
Lucid Sound is Rick and Erik on guitars, Andy on bass, Esteban on drums/percussion, Johnnie on Keyboards/Sound design and Gerald on vocals. The band members’ combined past accomplishments include touring throughout the United States and Latin America. They have shared stages with: Ian Brown of the Stone Roses, John Cale of the Velvet Underground, Members of Jaguares, Zoe, The Walkmen, VHS or Beta as well as local hero’s , The Tender Box, Airborne Toxic Event, The Midnight Movies and The Adored to name a few. Members of Lucid Sound have been featured on various media outlets including: MTV, Univision, LATV, LA Weekly, KXLU, KCRW, Indie 103.1 and KROQ. Currently the band is working on their debut EP slated for release in the fall of 2007.
