Gaipten Sesler is a musical journey from Istanbul.Nilüfer Ormanli and Lari Dilmen’s musical acquaintanceship has started in 2006.Gaipten Seslers music is more based on improvisation.NILUFER ORMANLI-electronic instruments,vocals LARI DILMEN-electronic instruments,percussions*****NILUFER ORMANLI Born 1978 Istanbul, She's started improvising with vocal at very early ages,at the middle of 1990's she began to understand what she's been doing. She focused on singing technics and developed her voice,studied at Cagdas Music Center with Timur Selcuk,and participated to many workshops.After,she focused on musical therapy,especially healing with the human voice. With her first band Sad Eyed Lemurs,Nilufer participated to many festivals,played and performed on many levels,streets,clubs,malls,subways etc.She had many other projects,such as;7 Hz,Missspock,Astigmat7...At the beginning of 2000 she showed interest to collage technics,practiced it in different forms,and has documented her quoditian adventures in a journal-like methodology-notebooks,also put out fanzines. She continues her actions with Gaipten Sesler. *****LARI DILMEN Born 1969 Istanbul, At the high school years he liked dj’ing and showed interest in free/experimental/alternative music, started to learn different percussion instruments, later focused on Turkish frame drum; bendir. He lived as a farmer in "kibbutzim" for 2 years, than after some years of business carieer in Istanbul, Lari decided to go professional in music, in 1997, and started to perform his pioneer radio program “flying carpet†at “Acik radio†where he was introducing world’s different music cultures and percussion instruments with Sadi Albagli. Lari travelled to west Africa, Israel, Egypt, Tunisia, Malaysia, Borneo, India, Brasil & Europe in search for ethnic music of far cultures. When felt the need of understanding his roots music culture better, he focused on performing and producing with local musicians of Turkey & middle east. Later developped his own hybird set of percussion, blending electronic percussion, drums, toys, ethnic percussion, winds, trying to experience new areas in music & performing arts. Lari participated in all major festivals of Turkey, played in almost all major stages, gave workshops & concerts all over Turkey, Germany, France, Switzerland, India, Spain, Portugal, Greece… He worked with Turkish Diva Sezen Aksu, Yeni Turku, Senem Diyici/Alain Blessing, Okay Temiz, A.H.Tekbilek, Yarkin, Alihan Samedov, Ilyas Mirzayev, Yaz Baltacigil, Ricardo Moyeno, Selim Sesler, Sarp Maden, Göksel Baktagir, Izzet Kizil, Saadet Türköz...but mostly lead his own projects; Flying Carpet, Gumusluk Art Ensemble-soyut boyut-, Experimental Music Ensemble, the Tree, LÖK, Techno Roman Project, Gaipten Sesler… Lari Dilmen produced & worked for “Kalan musicâ€, wrote and gave conferences on “world musicâ€, “find your own voiceâ€, later received Anna Lindth foundation “dialogue between cultures†prize with Techno Roman Project in 2006.
