♫ Maker and Music Arts, Maker, Cornwall
You don't have to wait for the festival to enjoy a drink in the Random Arms or listen to Live Music in the Energy Room, we run this great little venue year round usually doing at least a monthly gig often more.
The space is available to rent for birthdays, weddings, parties and other private functions
Maker Music and Arts is a team who lease and run the venue.
We have a capacity of about 180 people, a licenced , well stocked , friendly bar and a talent for throwing a good party!
We are on a mission to celebrate the wealth of creative talent in the area, giving space and facilitating artists and performers to do their thing. Although at present our calendar is based around music gigs, we aim to develop to provide art and music workshops, theatre, film and arts performances and exhibitions.

Skin Tight Funk
The first rumblings of funk came to fruition after a road trip on the 14th of April 2006 when Paul Haywood (sax & vocals)and Brian Ugalde (drums)ventured up to Exeter Uni to see the legend that is Maceo Parker (James Brown"s Saxophonist and the purveyor of true full on funk)
That was the point of no return and since that memorable evening it has been important to be true to the groove and fulfil the funk that brings people together. After teaming up with renowned bassist Scott Coleman they started the hunt for like minded musicians.Over the past three years the bands line up has changed but with the trio of Brian Scott and Paul continuing writing they find themselves with a permanent band consisting of Chris on keys and Chris on guitar (two individuals who play as one but share the same name). To date skin Tight Funk has built a reputation for writing and performing some truly amazing funk tunes that grip there audiences and fill them full of the same stuff that fuels this band........Funk tracks such as "Aint got no change left " ,,,, "My Way"and the anthemic "Rip The Tower" have been getting rave reviews and form part of the long awaited E.P .http://www.lemonrock.com/skintightfunkhttp://www.skintightf
