ELMO

About Me

Since forming in the late 90's, Elmo have created a reputation as one of Scotland's best unsigned acts. When they first started out as a 4 piece they wanted to add to their already huge sound, and enlisted a brass section, playing a more blues/pop driven sound, but with their style changing over the years to an edgier rock sound they went back to a 4 piece with influences ranging from Counting Crows, Muse, Dave Matthews Band, Dream Theater, Live helping to create the melodic hard edged sound they have today. In particular, Elmo are best known for amazing live sets with that unique and huge sound that sets them apart from most acts on the scene just now.ELMO have played with such bands as JJ72, Crash Test Dummies, Mark Morrison (Bluetones), BMX Bandits, and in front of thousands at the Big in Falkirk, and more recently being invited by INXS to support them on their "SWITCH" 2007 World Tour.ELMO have been busy writing new material and plan to record the new material as soon as a studio and producer has been chosen. Catch ELMO live in August and September across the UK.....
