Ardent through the massive motion in the german hip hop scene in the nineties, Dj Skut started mixing music with 2 clones of the technics turntable 1210. At this time he played in smaller, regional locations stright hip hop from the States and also the German rap music.
This is the past of Dj Skut but still plays a role for his great music collection and defines, what he puts on the turntables. The artist himself elates the audience with a beautiuful mix of old Funk & Soul tracks as well as Hip Hop Classics with Jazz influences. Thereby he mostly rock the house with Dj Caspa from Cookery Music on 2 or 4 Turntables.
On the other side Dj Skut appreciates the smooth melodic music. If the people are more open for a listening session and a good drink or food at nighttime, his composition of the vinyl collection will be different to the party sets. Downbeat, slow soul ballads with a touch of electronic and jazz plus discreet scratches creates the mix.
The basic for all his activities is the Internet platform Cookerymusic.de – a place where 3 Artists from South Germany present music, art & food in a soulful way. Dj Skut, Dj Caspa and M.Moles combine the 2 passions MUSIC and COOKING in one thing. That’s why it is called Cookery Music.
Until today Dj Skut have been to many places and city’s where he did the show in many different creative way’s of being a DJ: Ulm, Stuttgart, Reutlingen, München, Crailsheim, Köln, Dresden etc.
After his last release “meloiCream†- Skut Is now working on his second CD which will hit the streets in summer2009 – watch out!!!
