Ammonite Records – An Independent Record Label
Ammonite Records is a brand new label on a still chaotic Serbian music market. We are made of young enthusiasts, music lovers who believe the conditions are right for the shine and glory of Serbian music we know from the ‘golden’ 80’s to come back. Ammonite Records is a record label whose founders strive to enable services of recording and releasing the music of both well known serbian acts as well as less known artists, as well as to provide media and concert promotion, in the most fair fashion, without bringing into question their insisting on absolute artistic expression.
In the last couple of years, a great number of young bands emerged in the domestic scene; bands that with their creativity, quality of music and originality not only represent a pleasant surprise, but don’t fall behind their colleagues from western countries in any way. The problem is, of course, in the domestic music labels that don’t have an ear for music, justifying their refusal to cooperate with the creative youngsters with their inability to make a profit. The people who make this small but carefully picked team – Ammonite Records, are of an opinion that with patience, smart investing in real projects, while respecting the quality, diversity and authenticity of the artists, the invested effort, time and money will pay off many-fold on the long run. It is therefore an irrefutable fact that many young artists represented by Ammonite Records will in short time outgrow their local boundaries and set themselves on a path of world fame, to our mutual satisfaction.
We are absolutely open for collaboration with other independent music labels, whether they be from these parts or from across the globe. We are in a position now that enables us to exclusively present, in our opinion, the most creative world-class artists from these parts of the world. The criteria in deciding which artist we will represent are professionalism and the quality of the material. The chosen ones will be offered an option for collaboration that will best suit both parties. One thing is for sure: everyone interested in sending the material over could at least expect for it to be reviewed, and when the time is right, objectively presented first on a compilation of a similar genre and then followed by their own release. We guarantee everyone’s satisfaction. Our goal is to give a chance to young people who would like to share their talent with others, but were so far unable to for the lack of an appropriate opportunity.
