The City of North Wildwood covers an area 1.8 square miles along the southern New Jersey Coast on land identified as "Five Mile Beach". The City is located in Cape May County, approximately 30 miles south of Atlantic City and ten miles north of Cape May City.North Wildwood was incorporated in 1917 as a city from what had previously been known as Anglesea Borough and North Wildwood Borough.North Wildwood also shares the island with Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, West Wildwood, and Diamond beach.
