History of FilthyNote Records:
Bam Margera started this record label so you can hear music that he fucking love! The CKY videos were fun because Bam put all of CKY's song in them. Then he heard HIM and thought, these guys are Bon Jovi on crack? and loved 'em. We shot HIM's music videos, then some for Clutch, Turbonegro, and of course, CKY. Gnarkill was a great project and Jess also put out Foreign Objects.
It just made sense to start Filthy Note so Bam can sign bands and get their CDs into your hands! Viva La Bands was a great compilation (Volume 2 should be out in March '07) but Filthy Note will let us put out full albums for Bam's favorite bands.
Vains of Jenna is the first CD and it hits the streets in the US on October 24th (Glomb says the rest of the world early '07). He saw these guys in LA in July and immediately knew they had to be signed! Only problem is he didn't have a label! One call to Glomb took care of that. A month later they have Filthy Note up and running with www.filthynote.com site, a page at www.myspace.com/filthynote and a record came out Oct 24th! The team will be making T shirts and cool ass other merch too!
Keep checking back for news, videos and new bands. We'll also have info on our friends bands that aren't on Filthy Note. Bands like CKY, HIM, Turbonegro, Fireball Ministry, GWAR, 69 Eyes, and others.
