• At the age of four he started to take classical piano lessons. • In 1995 his Trio performed at the Sigmaringen Jazz Competition (Germany), winning first price.
• Two years later, having obtained his high school diploma, he began studying jazz piano at the Mannheim Music Academy with piano teacher Joerg Reiter. • That same year, his Trio was awarded first price at the Ravensburg Jazz Competition. • From 1998 to 2001 he performed with the Federal Youth Jazz Orchestra “Bujazzoâ€, conducted by world-famous Peter Herbolzheimer and toured with them through South-East Europe (Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Croatia, etc.). • In 1999 he performed with jazz greats Rolf Kühn and Albert Mangelsdorff. • In 2000 and 2001 he won second price at the international piano solo competition in Montreux. • In 2002 he won the international Jazzprice of the “Nürnberger Nachrichtenâ€. • A few months later he won first price at the international Jazz competition in Hoeilaart in Belgium with the jazzband “L 14, 16†and he was also given the award for best Soloist. • In 2003 the CD-production of this band won the award “Vierteljahrespreis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik†and was selected by the magazine “Audio†for beeing the best CD in the month of June. • From 2002 to 2004 he studied at the music academy in Cologne with piano teacher John Taylor. • In 2004 he worked as interim professor at the Mannheim Music Academy for Jörg Reiter. • 2006 he gained first price at the international jazz competition in Getxo (Spain) with the “Felix Fromm Sextet†and he also collected the award for best Soloist.• concerts with Ingrid Jensen, HR Big Band, Jeff Boudreaux, Albert Mangelsdorff, Dusko Goykovich, Rolf Kühn, Adrian Mears, Tony Lakatos, Jürgen Seefelder, Claire Martin, Johannes Enders, Thomas Stabenow, Bergische Sinfoniker, Paul Heller, Hans Decker, Domenik Landolf and many more...
