Arthur Walwin grew up listening to a mix of 90's pop/electronica hits and RnB jams. Later on, he adopted a more heavier taste - listening to such bands as Atreyu and Funeral For A Friend. This blend of Urban yet alternative music is the basis of the Arthur Walwin sound. This 17 year old from Essex composes all his songs on Apple GarageBand and plays all the instruments himself - including guitar, keys, drums and vocals.
AW is certainly no stranger to his local music scene and has been in several bands since being introduced to the scene. He has gigged in bands such as Dilemma and Fat Camp - and has also supported bands like Paige, Kenai, We Are The Ocean and Never Means Maybe.
AW also doubles up as a sound engineer/producer. He is currently doing a BND in Music Technology and aims to attend ACM in 2009 to complete a degree in Music Production. In the past, he has produced demos for Ask Sophie, Fat Camp and most recently 4 Saken 17's "Sociology" - as featured in their video. Any bands looking to record should contact AW through this myspace and/or his personal one.
The Arthur Walwin EP is currently in the final stages of production and should be coming out some time in July. There are currently 6 tracks on the EP including an unheard acoustic version of "Chapters" and a remake of "For What It's Worth".
