About Me

Hello and welcome to The Sound of the Modern Lonely, a Teesside-based fanzine dedicated to music, art, poetry, TV, film, photography and general pop culture-related ranting. Come one, come all, and join us in the search for fresh perspectives and excitement.
Issue 4 is out from late October 2008, featuring a ton of shit from gig reviews to local schnews. There are interviews with local heroes The Chapman Family and Russell and the Wolves, gig reviews from the Empire, Doctor Browns and the Westgarth and an exclusive feature on Teesside's radical history including an interview with film-maker Craig Hornby.
It's just £1 per copy with a juicy colour cover (cost a fucking bomb, that) available via PayPal and perhaps even at one or two gigs around the Tees Valley™, every now and again, whenever a crackpot team of sellers is let loose upon The Scene™. Alternatively, send £1.50 to modernlonelyzine @ hotmail.co.uk with payment details. Or send a message/email for further info and we can all chat merrily :)
