I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

My name is Ron Robbins, and I'm a fairly accomplished amateur boxer concentrating on turning professional before 2009. I train every single day to some extent, and I'm very serious about the sport. After my career, I want to go into promoting and managing upcoming boxers, or perhaps working with computers.

I do a lot of C programming and have a decent amount of experience and zest for writing portable software, leaving a small possibility that you could label me as a nerd, or a dork. But I'm not particularly worried about it.

If you want to know anything more about me, like what IRC servers I use, or anything else, just message me. I hate writing long autobiographic texts. Don't tell me I should have a cool profile, because I shouldn't. I'm lazy and don't feel like making one, even though I'm totally capable. Okay, so I broke down and changed it finally. Oh well.

My Interests

Boxing, Tarantulas, Video Games, Internet Relay Chat, The C Programming Language, Artificial Intelligence, Parapsychology, Art Bell

I'd like to meet:

Since my previous request to meet aliens generated absolutely no response, I'm now decided that I don't want to meet anyone unless they're a decent person. I meet too many that make me wonder.

I do want to meet that kid I signed an autograph for in September of 1995 after a fight with my brother in Livonia, Michigan though. His parents made him approach me, and that was my first autograph. I hope to make it valuable for him someday.

Music:

I listen to pretty much anything. Rock mostly. 3 Doors Down, Adema, Alice Cooper, Audioslave, Black Label Society, Bon Jovi, CKY, Daughtry, Default, Dio, Dr. Dre, Foo Fighters, Hinder, Ice Cube, Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson, Mick Jagger, Nickelback, Nirvana, Notorious BIG, Papa Roach, Saliva, Seether, Shinedown, Soil, Soundgarden, Tesla, Three Days Grace, Tool, Trapt, Tupac, Westside Connection

Movies:

Rocky Balboa (6), Scarface, Braveheart, In The Line of Fire, Unforgiven, Shawshank Redemption, The Butterfly Effect, American History X, American Pie/Wedding, Blast from the Past, Coming to America, Harlem Nights, Heartbreak Ridge, any boxing movies, if they're not stupid and unrealistic.

Television:

Boxing (ESPN/PPV), UFC, South Park, Dave Chappelle, Cops, Family Guy. Even the local news if I'm really bored! Usually the more channels you have, the less you can find to watch.

Books:

The Contender. I read a lot of reference material and biographies that are of interest too.

Heroes:

Anyone that's worth respecting.

Mayweather revamp

Well, I'll have to eat my words this time. Floyd knocked Hatton senseless. That was a really good fight though, and I enjoyed it a lot more than previous Mayweather fights. I've seen probably half of...

Baboon spider moult

Well, my Orange haired baboon spider has been refusing food for about two weeks or so and getting kind of spindly looking for a female. I looked in her huge mess of web today and noticed that she ...
