The sound of Stereoflower is the sound of a man in constant motion, from town to town, from sunrise to sunset, from happy high to crushing low. It's the sound of a man on the run, from ghosts both new and old, the rats in his walls and from his desolate hometown to a dim-lit stage in the middle of the city.
Stereoflower front man, Alex Elbery says that growing up in his isolated ghost town deep in the heart of the hills of Perth and his daily pilgrimage down to the city have been two major influences of his once-solo-project-now-full-time-band. Early 2008 saw Alex put down his weather beaten and blood stained acoustic guitar and pick up a shiny new white Gretsch, assembling his gang of misfits, drop-outs and visionaries from the fringe of society and transforming his lonesome-traveller folk act (in the vein of Dylan, Bright Eyes, even a few healthy servings of Neil Young) into a 5 man collective dealing in sonic mastery; think Bowie, Sonic Youth, Arcade Fire and a few helpful pointers from Animal Collective.
"Stereoflower is going to show you how hi-fi you can feel when lo-fi is done so sweetly."
