Chairkickers Music

...Minnesota gets cold, and no label better conveys this chilly iciness than Chairkickers’ Union. Based out of the Lake Superior parasite that is Duluth city, Chairkickers’ Union gives voice to the boreal. Alan Sparhawk of the band Low, is the chief of the label. More often than not, Chairkickers’ Union puts out the music of their close friends.... It’s this sort of camaraderie that fuels the Chairkickers’ label. Often, the members of the bands will guest on another label partners’ album; Zak Sally of Low on Kid Dakota’s So Pretty, Aaron Molina of If Thousands on both Haley Bonar’s The Size of Planets, and Rivulets’ Debridement, Nathan Amundson of Rivulets on If Thousands’ Yellowstone, etc., etc. It’s like six degrees of separation over there.
