My name is Carlos Villez and I was born in the state of Michoacan, Mexico now living with my wife in San Jose, Ca. I am a self taught artist with a love for all Mexican art. I work with a variety of different media but primarily with polymer clay. I am inspired by the wonderful Mexican celebration of Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). I grew up in one of the states within Mexico that celebrates this Day with beauty and artistry that even as far as I am from home, I can and will not forget. I love the amazingly bright colors of Mexico and incorportate these colors as you can see in the fotos of my work. This is a limited sampling of the work I have created in the last 5 years and I am still creating more pieces. I hope to someday soon create my own web page so that I can show all of my work in one single place. My hope is that you enjoy my work!!!!
