ASTRA News
• The release date for our debut album: The Weirding will be
May 25 in the U.K. and June 23 here in the U.S. The 2LP version
will include a bonus 7" of 2 of our demo songs: Winter Witch and
Cosmic Wind as well as a poster by Arik Roper!
• We've finally wrapped up the final mixes of our debut
album and we've sent them off to be mastered. Since this
recording took longer than we expected, we're now looking
at a March 2009 release. It will be released on CD and on
double LP! We've got some goodies planned for the double
vinyl version so stay tuned for more info! Thanks for your
patience with all of this!
• We're nearly finished recording our debut full length
for Rise Above Records. The album design will be in the
brilliant hands of the amazing Arik Roper.
• ASTRA signs with Rise Above Records - We've
just signed with London based record label Rise
Above Records. We'll be releasing our debut full length
CD/LP in Jan. 2009. Check back soon for
more news on this.
• ASTRA is now up on
David McHank's Perpetually Twelve Internet Show.
Check out his site: www.myspace.com/internetshow
for our show and other great episodes.
• We've uploaded another new demo, it's an
instrumental track tentatively called Cosmic Wind.
• We've uploaded another new demo - The Dawning Of
Ophiuchus along with an older acoustic home demo from
last year called Winter Witch.
• We'd like to welcome axe shredder extraordinaire
Brian Ellis to ASTRA. The planets have aligned. The
seventh seal has been broken. We are now complete.
