Finally got to see No Country for Old Men, and it was totally worth the wait! The Coen brothers are cinematic geniuses. This film was beautifully shot and superbly acted. At times the landscape was reminiscent of Ford's classic westerns. This was the type of film that, after I watch it, I'm inspired to want to go out, get behind a camera, and try to create something that will make someone else feel for it what I feel when I watch this. It definitely deserved the best picture Oscar, unlike some other films I know that have taken that honor...ahem...Crash...ahem.

I'm reading Live From New York at the moment. It's a lighter read than the others I've undertaken recently. It's a biography all about the history of Saturday Night Live. It's basically a behind the music type story of the show told through a compilation of excerpts from former and current stars, writers, producers, guests, and television executives. You get to learn a lot about the industry, as well as get all the sordid gossip of the behind the scenes drama. A very entertaining read for SNL fans.
