Music has always been a MASSIVE love of mine and I try not to miss too many chances to see a live concert! Absolutely love live Rockabilly & Ska and consequently, over the last couple of years, I have got involved in organising and promoting Rock n Roll/Rockabilly/50's Rhythm & Blues gigs and have really enjoyed the scene & the whole experience, so much so that I along with friend Johnny Skellett are continuing in 2009 and beyond, until we either lose the venue or the support!!
We run our gig nights at a quality venue in Leicester, THE MUSIC CAFE (next to the 'Jam Jar', off Braunstone Gate), which offers a stage, dancefloor, bars and split level seating. It is a cracking & very unique music venue that suits this scene perfectly and there is ample free parking just conveniently across the road! Obviously, as this is an independent venue, there will have to be an admission fee but we will endeavour to keep this as low as our budget will allow and in line with what current venues charge around the country!
All that we now hope for is some support from avid fans of RnR/RnB/Rockabilly/Ska etc. in establishing this venue, as this venture will be run for the love of live gigs, the superb bands that commit their time to them, and you, its followers! Without you, we just couldnt exist so please dont forget us!
