Since his birth in 1975 Liam Woodman has established himself as an accomplished television comedy writer and performer.Liam was new to comedy until he joined mutli-media spoof dance act Cyderdelic with Marc Wootton and Barry Castagnola. In 2000 they took the Edinburgh Comedy Festival by storm garnering rave reviews, a Perrier nomination and ultimately winning the BBC2 Green Light Award for new comedy. They were also invited to perform at the Melbourne Comedy festival. Cyderdelic moved from the stage to the screen featuring, first on the award-winning 11 O'clock Show, and then in the eponymous television series, Cyderdelic: The Revolution Will Be Televised.Following the success of Cyderdelic Liam continued to work closely with Marc Wootton, joining forces once again to lead the writing team behind My New Best Friend, which starred Marc in multiple roles. MNBF went on to critical acclaim and to win three international television awards - Rose D'Or, British Comedy Award, Chicago International Television Festival Award . They then created a series of pilot shows before launching a grotesque, spoof psychic medium, played by Marc, with the show High Spirits with Shirley Ghostman which was a cult hit on both sides of the Atlantic. Most recently Liam and Marc created over twenty brand new characters for Marc's show Marc Wootton Exposed which aired on BBC3 at the end of 2007.Often neglecting the acting side of his career in favour of writing, Liam has continued to appear in many of the projects he has written as well as featuring in other shows including Sean Lock's acclaimed sitcom Fifteen Storey's High, the hidden camera show SWAG and a short film written by Ed Dyson entitled Low Low Men. Liam can also be seen performing stand up around the UK.Liam has been asked to write Marc Wootton's new multi-character series on American television's Showtime network, which looks set to revive some of the many characters they have created.
