The City Rats

"The first band I saw were local Liverpool lads The City Rats, who I’m sure won’t mind me describing them as lo-fi ska punk, imagine an early Sublime had just been beaten up and their equipment had been wrecked by teen vandals, that’s The City Rats. The band seemed to be having a lot of fun and truly love what they do and when you see that in a band, its hard not to like them. They’re rough and ready, and I enjoyed it a lot, by the time they finished with a very well done Op Ivy cover I was a fan."
