I first got into mixing in around the summer time of 92 after i decided to buy some jb belt drive decks,at that time i didnt have a clue how too mix and to be truthful i didnt really care i just loved the tunes out at that time and spent every spare penny i had on vinyl then rushing home too try and mix them with my mates....eventually the hardcore scene dried up and jungle was born by this time i was confident enough to do my mates mix tapes and through doing this alot of interest was put my way people wanting me to dj parties it was one such event i met a promoter which had a club night in the pipeline called queen of jungle being held in streatham he invited me to come down and play a set along with the likes of macka brown and dj killer,captain mc extatically i agreed but unfortunately it didnt go to well cos when i got there i noticed they had technics 1210s now id only been on my belt drive decks and to be honest i wasnt too confident it was a nightmare and a disaster,so straight away i vowed to get some 1210s with about 4months hard saving i could afford some so i started again on technics within a few weeks mastered them started doing tapes again when i heard through a mate that a pirate radio station called storm fm 106.2 was being broadcast locally and he knew a dj on there so he give him a tape they called me up offered me a saturday 2-4 set i agreed i played on there for around 8 months before they got taken off air.Then soon after jungle went to intelligent drum and bass but from out of nowhere came speed garage so i began buying that not long after i came across a bar called kings cellars in town that was advertising a dj competition so i entered and came 1st and they offered me a resident slot every thursday and the occasional saturday..from there i sent a tape off to another pirate radio station called non-stop fm 89.6 which was also promoting their own club nights too(CONTINUED IN LIKE TO MEET)
