About Me

Rolf Sieker plays Bobby Thompson's banjo and likes all kinds of music. He's been pickin' the banjo since 1968. Rolf became the Texas State Banjo Champion in 2001 and wrote most of the original numbers of the Sieker Band's repertoire. He's a member of the Nashville Musicians Union and does a lot of studio sessions in Austin and Nashville. Rolf is a representative of OME Banjos in the State of Texas.Beate Sieker plays Bobby Thompson's guitar and likes to sing and play Bluegrass. She's been a professional musician since 1984. Besides playing rhythm guitar and singing most of the Sieker Band's songs she also runs Bluebonnet Studio with her husband Rolf.Rolf & Beate run their own music studio in Austin. Originally from Stillwater, Oklahoma he now works at "Violins Etc." in Austin, Texas. Mark was a member of the Bluegrass/Punk Band "The Bad Livers". He plays bass and trombone in different Klezmer and Jazz Bands. As a bass instructor Mark travels all over the world.
