Gegründet haben wir uns Ende 2003 in Dortmund. Musikalisch bewegen wir uns auf unterschiedlichen Wegen, was zu großen Teilen an den unterschiedlichen Geschmäckern -von Hardcore und Metal bis Britpop und Folk- innerhalb des Bandgefüges liegt. Das teils progressive Songwriting ist vielen Einflüssen unterworfen und nicht zu festgefahren. Sowohl harte Stücke als auch Balladen finden ihren Platz.
Erfahrungen machte die Band bis jetzt bei diversen Gigs in Jugendzentren und beim Emergenza Festival. Erfolge erzielte die Band durch die Teilnahme am Emergenza Ruhrgebiets Finale 2005 und 2007.
Lastraw was found in Dortmund 2003 by four guys addicted to music. For the most part, their musical tastes were completely different. That’s why they soon decided that the songs should represent a medium between what everyone in the band listens to. Because of that the songs range from metal, alternative rock to britpop and sometimes you can hear some influences of folk. The in some cases progessive songwriting even allows that all different styles of music are represented in just one song.The songwriting mostly starts with Arne presenting a short riff or melody the band jams into a song (in most cases jam to completely forget how they played it the last time they met - It just did sound a bit different).
