ABOUT ME:
I am a one man band, but I do like taking input on suggestions for my music. Although not much has been suggested in the past, I figured myspace would be a perfect spot for feedback.
I started making songs in 1994 at the age of 14. I experimented with FastTracker2 back then, using home made samples for all the instruments at the time. It wasn't a very good sequencer, but it pre-dated Rebirth 338, which is the 2nd sequencer/beat software I started using. I really liked Rebirth, because it allowed me to make beats using "Mods", which were pre-made drum kits. I used that program from 1996 to 1998, then found FruityLoops.
FruityLoops was, and partially still is, my favorite software. I used that from 1998 to present. I learned alot about adding effects, and automation, to my music. But in 2000, I played around with Reason. It was way more difficult than FruityLoops, at least for me at that particular time. I didn't know how to truely make my own synth sounds, and Reason is the kind of program dedicated to that.
At the end of 2006, I obtained another copy of Reason, and figured "I've learned enough to make music with this now, time to grow up". I didn't realize how much I already knew from all those years using FruityLoops. Everything started making sense. I guess what made Reason much easier, however, was the fact that I finally got a MIDI keyboard, and it allowed easier control over the sequencer.
I decided to make music because I was not hearing what I wanted to hear on the radio these days. I love mellow music, personally, but I have a "crunk" side that I pull out sometimes to make a good Rap beat. I will need to post some examples on here, but for now, I want to concentrate on the "Electronic" genre. Weird noises in the background that leave you wondering "what the heck was that", is something I like. I also like putting sounds in songs that you don't notice until you've heard it a few dozen times.
