Lucky Charm

I'm currently working as an EKG technician. Before that I worked as a medical assistant in a family practice clinic that served the underpriviledged. I'm working towards my RN degree and hopefully it will happen before the turn of the next century. My ultimate dream is to be a flight nurse. That would combine two of my interests together in one fabulous job. Along with nursing I also have a desire to work as a EMT/Paramedic and am working towards making that a reality too. I know it sounds like a bunch of scrambled up desires but actually they are all interconnected and those of you that work in the field know there is a common thread in my career path.I enjoy traveling and have been to Europe many times. I loved London, Paris and Ireland. Actually, I love all of Europe. I can't say there was a country I didn't enjoy. There's tons of places I would like to see. I would like to do a rafting/camping trip down the Colorado River. I'm saving that trip for one of my milestone birthdays :-). I think that would be a cool way to see the Grand Canyon. Maybe I'll pair it up with a quick trip to Vegas for a quicky marriage to some guy I meet at the bar the night before. I've always wanted an Elvis wedding :-)topped off with a roller coaster ride around the top of a Vegas hotel! Africa,Australia,Tahiti,Fiji,Egypt and Greece are also places I'd like to visit. If I can afford to do it I'd like to do some volunteer nursing in Africa someday. I've got a trip to Alaska planned for 2009. I'm hoping to be able to dog sled and take a helicopter trip to the top of a glacier. I'm also planning to go to NYC in April.Next year my plan is to skydive and paraglide. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time and 2008 is the year. If you'd like to join me just let me know. Someday, in the not to distant future, I will get my private pilots license too.I like going out for a meal and having a good time with friends or just hanging out and playing board games (Cranium and Pictionary are a few of my favorites). I prefer small groups over large ones. I'm a little bit shy but I tend to get over it pretty quickly. I like to try different things but I don't usually stick to anything long enough to call it a hobby.Something you might not ever guess about me is I'm really a romantic at heart. I believe in romantic love, but I don't mean the bring home the flowers kind of romance. Romantic love to me is when two people are thoughtful, considerate and affectionate towards each other. Have you ever watched an elderly couple stroll hand in hand down the sidewalk together? That is romantic love to me. Someone that will still be there when your youth has faded.
