I am Kimberly Ross Eaton and I am vying for the position of member on the (ERS) Employees Retirement System Board of Trustees for the State of Texas. I am a nineteen year veteran employee for the State of Texas. As my twenteeth year approach rapidly in September, I am deeply concerned about our pension. I will keep you abreast of upcoming issues regarding our retirement system. I will also keep you abreast of any bills that will affect our pension as the 80th Legislative Session gets underway. I would love to know your concerns. I will address each issue accurately and to the point. I am a grass root advocate who believes in change. I would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to all of the (TSEU) Texas State Employees Union delegates who endorsed me unanimously at the General Assembly in 2006. I am your candidate once again. Your confidence in my abilities to represent you will not be taken for granted. Kimberly serves as the announcement clerk. She is currently using her spiritual gifts to teach women God's word. Kimberly has been active in several civic and community organizations in the Dallas metroplex prior to moving to Abilene, Texas. She is a Graduate Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. She received the distinguished award of “Zeta of the Year” in Dallas, Texas in 2003. She is also the chair of the Parole Caucus for the State of Texas Employees Union and recently a candidate for the State of Texas Employees Retirement System Board of Trustees. She is a member of the Kiwanis Club International of Abilene, Texas. Kimberly is also a Board Member of the Abilene Council of Alcohol and Drug Abuse. She is also a member of the Black History Committee of Abilene, Texas. Kimberly is a Parole Supervisor with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division. Kimberly was promoted September 2005 to lead the Parole Division in Abilene, Texas. She also has the responsibility of leading the Brownwood, San Angelo and Wichita Falls District Offices.
