PRESENTATION DE L’ORCHESTREAnacrusax is a chamber music project which merges contemporary, classic, popular Mexican and international music repertoire for saxophone quartet.Interested mainly in spreading new music composed by contemporary Mexican composers, Anacrusax is a singular one among the saxophone quartets.Since its foundation on 1998, Anacrusax has been part of several cultural activities such as: recitals in the most important concert halls in Mexico and abroad; didactic concerts; creation of music for radio, movies and TV; and national and international festivals, among others. Moreover, Anacrusax has been awarded, more than once, scholarships and some other kinds of institutional support.A lot of Mexican new musical compositions have seen the light being expressly created for such ensemble by young and already acclaimed Mexican composers.
