About Me

I live in Spain, I fell in love with a boy here and now I never want to come back. Sounds cliche but its true! I´m the happiest Ive ever been, and life in Europe is beautiful.I went to a tech magnet HS, I was on the esoteric robotics team, I graduated in 02 and since then went to 3 (yes 3!) community colleges, worked in a software company, started my own software company (a wild 3 MONTH adventure so it wasnt too serious), and volunteered a lot, and had several odd jobs in the film industry before I made my way to Europe. I take life with an open mind and simply go with the flow, and I can honestly say I have "found myself" (if you beleive that we need to be "found"), and I know exactly who I am, who I pretend to be, and what I want out of life. I am self indulgent to the core, a lover of life and all its delicacies, all its people, and all its differences. Its because of that mentality that I could never, truly, hate anything. I love writing- and cooking and cleaning (no wifey fantasies please) are my meditation. I guess I meditate quite a bit. Im intelligent, love to laugh, excercise, get into debates, and Im bold enough to say with conviction that someday I will take over the world- Im SO comfortable with myself and who I am that I know longer fear the unknown, I crave it. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------Mo nologue of the past (spring 03): I just discovered I like to break plates. I know it sounds pretty wierd, but the other day right when I woke up, I had an uncontrollable urge to break a plate. Next thing I know, I'm outside standing on my 8 foot brick barbeque with a dinner plate in my hand. I swiftly toss it, with both hands and watch it crash against the brick foor into thousands of pieces. It was truly exilarating, and any woories I had shattered along with the plate. The rest of my life is pretty much as random and unscripted as the whole plate-breaking thing. But I must say, I absolutley love it.Get Your Own! | View Slideshow

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Seville Semana Santa:This Easter I went to Seville with my boyfriend where his family resides to see the processions with over a million people from all over the world. Check out the slideshow below:And heres and explanation of what you´re seeing, which by the way, is one of the most amazing multi-sensory moving things I´ve ever seen. Like the April fair, Semana Santa (holy week/easter) has been one of the most important celebrations in Seville since centuries. The Cofradías (Brotherhoods or Fraternities) process in penitence through the (many narrow) streets of the city, from their church to the Cathedral and back, taking the shortest possible route, as decreed in the rule of the ordinances by Cardenal Niño de Guevara in the 17th century.Starting on Domingo de Ramos (Palm Sunday), and ending on Domingo de Resurrección (Easter Sunday), there are 57 brotherhoods that pay the religious visist to the Cathedral of Seville, the third largest Cathedral in the world.
Create a Free SlideshowMost brotherhoods carry(30 men literally CARRY on thier backs almost 2,000 pounds in Midevil gold, jewls and wax candles) two floats: a float with a Christ, representing the distinct stages of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and a float with a Dolorosa (Mary the Virgin in pain) under a canopy. Some brotherhoods even carry three floats, like the so-called: El Amor, La Cena, San Benito, or la Trinidad, others have just one like Santa Marta, La Quinta Angustia, la Soledad de San Buenaventura, or la Soledad de San Lorenzo.Resuming, in the eight days of Semana Santa, a total of 57 brotherhoods, carry their 116 floats from their church to the Cathedral and back, in the company of around 60,000 brothers participating in their different appearances:Nazarenos (Nazarenes) Penitents Costaleros (float carriers) AcolytesThese are the people you see in the pointy hats and cloaks following the procession (jacked later by the kkk, no association; they wear the cloaks as a sign of penetance) The number of spectators may rise up to the impressing number of one million people during the most important moments of Semana Santa in Seville: the early morning (from 1 to 5 am) of Good Friday which is when the brotherhoods of el Silencio, el Gran Poder, La Macarena, El Calvario, La Esperanza de Triana and los Gitanos set off for their processional penitence to the Cathedral.Personas Divertidos en ESPANA y todo el mundo interesante! People who are as spiritually grounded and crazy as I am. Although I am serious about my goals in life- I try not to take myself too seriously, and I'm not really into people who are self absorbed (I´m an expert in this lot comming from LA). I'm often referred to as the epitomy of "down to earth" and thats really me in a nutshell. I like People who dont consider themselves normal by anyones standards, and people that inspire me-- people that prefer to talk about ideas, not other people. I have a caring heart and I wish to only attract the same. I also love a good story- so if you've got a good one send it through- just let me know if its FICTION before hand- I absolutley loathe lies...(although I'm guilty for telling quite a few). I have a wild imagination, a naughty sense of humor, and I enjoy my dark moods and alone time just like everyone else... so if it isnt clear by the number of "people"s I've stated here, you can guess that my passion is people-- luv yall, tell me your story!
