Janet Lynn was the featured vocalist with The All Purpose Blues Band at The Old Absinthe House Bar ("A-Bar") on world famous Bourbon Street in New Orleans. She was a headliner for an unprecedented six years, replacing the legendary Marva Wright. It was widely known that when national acts came to town, they would end up at The “A-Bar†to hear some of New Orleans' best musicians and to “jam†with the band as well. Over that time, Janet performed with many popular artists such as Art and Aaron Neville, Fats Domino, Steven Stills, Gregg Allman , Rick Derringer, Boz Scaggs, Billy Gibbons and Robert Plant. She was backed by some of the finest musicians in New Orleans (Marc Adams, Johnny Vidacovich, "Big Johnny" Thomassie and others). After the club's lease expired and the format changed, Janet moved on and continued to perform with various bands, and toured much of the Southeastern U.S. regularly. She is regarded by agents, promoters and fans as a true New Orleans gem.
