About Me
From March's edition of the Notting Hill Independent (www.londonlocals.co.uk)
Fraser Kee Scott modestly points out that his song writing ability is something that he has been hugely helped with and that there is an artist within all of us that is a joy to discover, but still, his is a story of an extraordinary rise of ability to inspire and success within songwriting that music industry insiders are starting to take note of.
Fraser began writing poetry just over a year ago when someone told him that they loved how he wrote and that he should write them a poem. He did... and he hasn't stopped since. What began as a way of communicating about the world and life to his friends shortly changed into now what looks like becoming a song writing success story that may touch all of our lives.
For, only six months into writing, and upon completion of his first song, from just six emails sent to top music websites, Fraser was immediately asked backstage to discuss the songs production by none other that the worlds No.1 DJ, the man who played to a billion people at the opening of the last Olympic games, the first DJ to sell out a stadium of 25,000 people, DJ Tiesto. Tiesto met with Fraser backstage at the Brixton Academy and said those words that make a shiver run down the spine of any writer when spoken from an A List celebrity - 'Maybe we will make a track, maybe we will make some visuals (a video).'
This caused a rapid change in Fraser's thoughts about writing - "I realised that the talent I had could be used to make songs that could reach the world, that could lift the worlds spirits, and most importantly, that could make a difference and help." So he began writing many more songs and finding top musicians to make the music and record them.
In the last six months Fraser has placed 7 songs in professional musicians hands to record including 'Lets Make Things Right', which is having music put to it by Danny Kirsch who wrote Charlotte Church's No.3 hit 'Brave New World' and the vocals provided by Danny Foster who was in the band 'Hear Say' who had two No.1 hits in the UK; also John Novello, who had a No.1 hit in the USA asked Fraser to write a song about the importance of being in present time, not always worried about the past, which Fraser wrote the 'Present Time Rhyme' for and Mr Novello is now working on including on his new album, or the much more Pop - 'Dancing Like a Pop Star' which a lady who wrote a recent No.3 in Sweden is creating the music for, or John Kennedy, a great American musician, making Fraser's most romantic song 'Eternal Girl', or the Hip Hop - 'We're Goin' Out Tonight' which has a 'VH1 Song Writer of the Year' nominee making the music for it.
While Fraser can write hits in any genre, and on any subject, and fast, the only problem he has is that the group of musicians he is working with just cant keep up: "I can write 20 songs a day" says Fraser "So if any record labels, producers or professional musicians out there need help with some fresh hits for their stars then they should contact me, tell me the type of thing they want a song about and I will write the lyrics for them with no obligation - but they should for sure try me out, because I'll get their audiences screaming for more!"
