Born in Leicester, UK, Kenan Waters never dreamed that he would become a rapper. He was raised along with his brother, by his single Mother as his Father walked out at an early age.
He spent a lot of his childhood in Ireland and never showed an interest in music until later on. It was when he first heard an Eminem album that he fell in love with the way rap worked "I couldn't believe how much of a story you could tell through it" he says, but as time went on he realised that some of Hip Hop was changing, people were starting to talk about Drugs, Money and Violence and Hip Hop became a bad name for a lot of people.
Kenan ignored this and carried on listening to Tupac, Eminem and Linkin Park but when he went to Ireland he found that a small heartwarming Yorkshire Terrier who had been beaten and was starving, half dead, was going to be thrown down a well if nobody took him.
At this age he didn't know that anyone could be so cruel, he took the dog home and gave him the best love imaginable.
"I decided this was the time, I was more aware of what was happening in the world, people around the city were being stabbed, the news was full of awful stories", he picked up a microphone in 2005 and started to write lyrics and take part in Teenage talent competitions.
After he'd improved he felt he had a few good tracks to record and instantly got a lot of good attention with them, because he is young but also providing a good message to people.
"I may come across unusual for doing this, but it's not, i'm just realising what's right and trying to promote it across the UK and the world" he says...
Kenan Waters now has a lot of expirience in this and feels he is ready to be signed, he is confident on stage and feels that he's doing right.
"You'll be happy to know that the dog is now still living here along with my other one, and he sings, his favourite song is the batman theme".
