I am here for Dating and Friends

About Me

Born Andrew (Andy) James Nash at around 5:00am at Southmead Hospital on a cold Friday 24th January 1986, the youngest of 4 boys in the Nash family (god feel sorry for my mum!).
I've always been an uber shy, uber thin kid in my childhood. I didn't have as many friends as I would’ve liked to and got constantly picked on by my 3 brothers that drove me to absolute shit. When I was a teenager, my weight plummeted and was constantly ill. I was eventually diagnosed with Chron's Disease, which affects the bowel, causing inflammation, soreness, nausea and weight loss. My high school years was alright despite being diagnosed with Chron's. But everything went downhill dramatically. I had problems with my classmates, and got bullied a little bit because I became so thin and fragile. I couldn't take things anymore. My Chron's condition was so bad with stress and depression that my stomach was operated on, but since that, I survived a great ordeal which led to winning respect from my brothers and most of the people at school. I bounced back making more friends, putting on allot of weight and got very good grades in my GCSE's. It saved me big time.
Knowing I had talent with computing, I spent 3 glorious years at Filton College. I made a great circle of friends, to this day, I still keep in touch and see. For once a shy kid, I have evolved a great deal in myself. I became more confident, more talkative, more respective and friendly amongst people and knowing I have a bright future ahead of me.
Now for the past 2 and a half years, I have been working. With IT qualifications and a good set of GCSE's, I am now enjoying a new lease of life at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. I work with Medical Records, which is admin work for Secretaries and going around the hospital dispatching notes to wards and consultants. Everyone I work with is fantastic and I have learned to be more open to people.
Outside of work I feel that travelling gives me more freedom and a chance to unwind from life’s problems. I love going to a place by train and watch the world go by and feeling relaxed. Exploring different places, meeting different people, seeing the sights and taking in the cultures is something to marvel at, it's a real buzz and I love it.
Apart from travelling, I love sport. Any given chance, I watch football, which I follow Bristol City and Newcastle religiously. Also I’m mad on Cricket, which I travel around the country watching. For The past 2 years I have taken up Softball with my 2nd oldest brother Ali and play for Bombay Dreamers in the Downs League. We're both keen baseball fans but since Bristol doesn't have a baseball team, we took up Softball instead. Since 2008, I decided to venture out on my own and develop my Softballing skills. From the winter indoor training, I joined a team called Multiple Scorgasms in the more competitive Bristol Softball League which I love to bits! My team consists of fellow friends I have made from those training sessions and the bonds I have made with them have been fantastic, everyone looks out for everyone and makes sure you have a good time on and off the field. Softball sure has introduced me to more friends and has kept me fit in the process. Both teams I play are so sociable, I can't stop going out to different places, bars, clubs and resturants and getting to know my team mates better.
I also love music. I go to a lot of gigs in Bristol, Cardiff and London. I'm a massive Kosheen fan and do anything to promote and support them. I'm also championing future talent in Cute Loony, Melo Park, Viva City and Susie Ledge. Watch out for them! I have a CD collection which mainly consists of Indie, Dance music and a few classics in between. I love the experience of live music. The crowd, the atmosphere, the sound, it’s worth being alive for honestly!
My attitude to life is, if you want to do something, do it, enjoy it and fucking well love it and embrace the moment! If there's a place I want to travel to and look around, I go there. If there's a sport I want to play, I play it and give 100% into it. It's a great feeling that there's so much in this world you can do and that can make you discover something about yourself.
So that's me, my life, my troubles and how I have overcome them to be the person I am. Ok I am still thin looking, but Andy Nash the person is friendly, quiet (still!), laid back and making the most out of his life!
