Gry Oftedal

Gry Oftedal plays the Norwegian traditional flute "sjøfløyte" (sea flute) and, at times, hardanger fiddle. Mostly she plays old tunes from Rogaland where she grew up, but she is inspired by other traditions and genres as well. She also sings in the group "Fivel". On the cd "Tvilevise" she plays together with the great musicians Åshild Vetrhus (vocals), Vidar Skrede (guitar), Magne Vestrum (contrabass) and Pål Hausken (drums). Anders Strand has recorded, mixed and mastered the album.
