About Me
Well...For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a musician. From my early years with the tin-cans/cookiejars I stole from my mother, (her cookies were never that great anyway), until I got my first real drum-kit, (man, it was cheap and had the name "Albert"), I was beating everything, including my own patience...At the age of 17, I skipped school and turned pro, as a drummer for an artist leading the Norwegian charts at that time. Since then it has been a rocky road, with many ups and downs, but I wouldn't change it for the world...I always had this thing about Pearl drums, Paiste 2002 cyms, and I still have. I use standard batterheads from Remo, but sometimes in recording, I like the thick sound of the black double-coated ones, and I swear to Vic Firth SG models to beat them with...Maybe this is because one of my really great "roll"-models is the Man himself. Of course I'm talking about Dr. Steve Gadd. There is of course others too, but he has always been a favourite...There has been some recordings, I am the proud owner of a Gold-record, (hangin on my wall), but I would mainly describe myself as a Live-drummer...After beeing away from the music for some years now, (because of a total misunderstanding of the consept of being happy, and spending time on doing business instead), I have enroled myself into the legion of happy drummers again. Several plans is brought out in the open, and I have two record-projects going these days. Never made any money in business anyway, just met a lot of confused and unhappy people with a great fear of living. Couldn't cope with that...So thank's to My Space, I'm now building my network, seeing what other musicians do these days, and live like any human beeing should, in peace with themselves and the universe...I give my thanks to everyone of you who has been a true source of inspiration over the years, and hope that I can give something back to the world, if only in a smile to another human beeing...And I will here, for everyone to see, thank my daughter Lea, for coming into this world, and make me understand what true love really is all about. I love you so much that it hurts every day. Thank you for letting your father get busy playing drums again...Love is the answer, love is greate, love is all...
