Young Socrates

About me: Young Socrates was a great little live band that "made it's bones" in and around "Freshchester", NY in the mid to late Nineties. Steve Basini, Enzo Simone, Dave Beers, and I were the members of this quartet that never took itself too serious. The idea was to entertain and give you some sweet melodies with balls underneath. We had a big following but as we grew older, our lives got busier and goals became tainted. It was a lot like VH1's - "Behind the Music" without the mega fame. It shit the bed in 2000. At Steve's wedding, this past fall, the 4 of us were in the same room for the first time in 5 years. We agreed to feel things out by recording a few tunes that never saw their complete fruition in a recording studio. Down and Unassuming are the first fruits to be beared. Slowly was the last thing we ever recorded before the hiatus. As things progress, we will get you the updates, as well as the tunes. This time around, we are keeping the aspirations acute and we want to take full-advantage of the networking that the internet now offers. We hope to reach out to old fans and maybe suck in a few more. Had we had this technology back in the day, who knows.....our following could have been massive. Maybe we could have been contenders.
