JOE DUGGAN POETRY
Joe is a poet and writer, originally from Ireland and now based in London. He co-founded The Bunch of Chancers poetry group in Derry in 1998, touring throughout Ireland and New York State (2000). The group have also performed at the Belfast Fringe, Between the Lines Festival, (Belfast) , The Gasyard Feile (Derry) the Cuirt Festival of International Literature (Galway) and a million nights in Sandinos Pub Derry. He has published in Abridged, The Chancer , Cuirt Review, Fingerpost, anthologised in Bear in Mind (Lagan Press, 2001) and inside buses as part of the Poetry in Motion project.. His poetry has been broadcast on BBC NI, Ulster Television, and local radio and television in Northern Ireland. He has also written 2 texts for Dance Theatre : Carbon (2000) and Tenderised (2003) which toured throughout Ireland with Echo Echo Dance company. He was commissioned to write a short story Julie’s Swing for the Derry Children’s Commission available at www.knowurrights.org/children/story1.html.
