About Me

I'm a 38 year old artist based in Waterloo, London. All of my work is figurative, as well as using my life experiences I also like to bring in 'foreign' subject matter, by doing so I feel I am gaining a degree of understanding, whilst perhaps slanting my view of the world.
From May 21st - June 11th 2006, I had my first solo exhibition at Indo on the Whitechapel Road, called 'Lost and Found', it featured 25 self portraits on found wood. I have had work in two short films, one of which was sponsored by Diesel clothing company. I have also produced three short films; 'Memory Stains' 40 mins,'I'm in your room' 5 mins and '99 days of sanity' 34 mins. I have been involved in numerous group exhibitions, featuring my work in venues such as the Hackney Empire Hospitality room, The Brick Lane Gallery, The Second Space Gallery Shoreditch, at Shaws Booksellers, The old Cholmeley Boys Club, 'Five years' - unit 66 Regent Studios, at the i-Candy Arts Centre in Hastings and twice at Jago on Redchurch Street 'Art is fayre' May 2008 'Interim 3' August 2008. "Carry on Jago" Feb 2009 From June 2007-December 2008, I showed work in the Hoxton Square Gallery 13 times. (The Hoxton Square Gallery is an outside gallery, an idea devised by the artist Richard Maddalena) In connection with the space I was sponsored to go to Nova Gorica Slovenia to participate in an event called ‘Art For Nothing’ September 2007.
I am currently working on a series of 7 large canvases and 100 smaller, always creating self portraits or putting myself 'in there' on some level. 2008-2009
