About Me

I'm enjoying my time "off" from school right now! I plan on returning sometime to work on my Masters, but currently I am too distracted. ;)Family and friends are very important and I keep them close at heart. I'm a very loyal and loving person and tend to have a very positive yet practical approach on life. I'm happiest when I'm in the company of my fiance Kris, family and friends. I'm always trying to do too much and have to keep a notepad close by to keep up with my crazy thoughts and ideas. ;o)

My Interests

Reading, crafts, art,swimming, walking, music, movies, traveling, beach, mountains, photos, food and cooking. I spend my weekends visiting with my family, catching up with close friends, or watching movies with Kris and barbecueing at home and just enjoying the company. As long as I'm in good company and food - I'm happy! I love doing research on things that I have found insightful or remarkable. I'm very ambitious so I sometimes work myself to death with the hopes of it paying off someday.

Mana, Lucero, Vicente Fernandez, Ana Gabriel, Shakira, Dave Matthews Band, Jewel, Unwritten Law, Damien Rice, Gwen Stefani, Outkast, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, 80's music, Juanes, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Jack Johnson and some of the old hip hop stuff. I'm open to lot's of music as long as it's a good beat, or a talented artist or band... I'm willing to listen.

Movies:

Cantinflas movies, any Julia Robert movie, Sideways, Closer, umm and anything in my fiance's DVD collection. I'm really bad about remembering titles, but there are plenty more. I absolutely love independent films!

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, I Love Lucy and SNL.

Books:

Anything that provokes thought and curiousity in my mind, but I'll read pretty much anything. Lately I've been reading a lot of Spanish books to brush up on my Spanish. Love fiction books, historical fiction, and enjoy a good newspaper article. A few of my favorites include: Opening Mexico, Angela's Ashes, The Handmaid's Tale, any Jane Austen book, Frankenstein, and love reading anything from James Joyce or Mary W. Shelley. I love Barnes & Noble!

Heroes:

My parents, grandmother & my aunts. They are strong and are themselves regardless of what is going on around them, I hope to be as strong as them through my long life!
