Three Fingers Whiskey

About Me

This band was started in 2001 out of our love of "outlaw country" music. The band name comes straight from Waylon Jennings, one of our biggest hero's. What we are doing is what Waylon did in his time. Which was basically taking Hank Williams Sr. type of country and putting a faster engine under the hood so to speak. We are carrying on the same tradition as Waylon by juicing up the 70's outlaw country and our original new traditional country music for a 21st century kick in the ass. But make no mistake about it, we are not a tribute band or a retread. We do original music with lyric's that relate to modern times yet still remain timeless. We will also play a few choice covers. NO POP FUCKING COUNTRY!!!!! Our music is high octane, whiskey fueled ,shit kickin', honky tonkin', psychobilly, bluegrass, roots rock, Americana COUNTRY MUSIC!!!!!!!

Band Members: JASON BELTZ (lead guitar, lead vocals, songwriter) born in Detroit,Michigan. Jason is a co-founding member along with Jade. Music has always been one of the most important aspects of my life. My influences in a nutshell were two parents who listened to classic rock, which has a lot of country flavors (stones, credence, Dylan). I also think my grandma & grandpa's southern blood may play a part in my tastes. Next came four years on the road following the grateful dead where I learned and lived a lot of life. The dead exposed me to American roots music (country, bluegrass, blues) which is where I am today. I didn't start playing guitar until I was 21 and I haven't put it down since. I started singing shortly after learning a few chords .I never really thought about singing and just fell into it. Over time I grew to love it and developed my voice, now I will sing until I'm an old man. My songwriting style comes from traveling, strong opinions, musical heroes and bad relationships. Everything I know is from books and other people so I say" find what you love, Love what you find".JADE HOPKINS (guitar, slide guitar, vocals, songwriter)A founding member along with Jason. Jade is the driving rhythmic force behind the high energy shit kickin' outlaw country sounds of Three Fingers Whiskey. Jade is known for his wild whiskey fueled stage antic's, a sight to behold. Jade is also a contributor in the vocal and songwriting department. Hell if it wasn't for Jade we wouldn't have any minor chord progressions in our songs.LINDSAY BELTZ (vocals songwriting) Go to and add as a friend www.myspace.com/lindellmiller Lindsay began playing with Three Fingers Whiskey in the year 2006. She provides lead vocals and harmonies. Lindsay has a great stage presence and is not very sore on the eye's if ya know what I mean. Lindsay can bring the house down and get the crowd dancing all at the same time. Lindsay is an accomplished piano player and we hope to have her on the keys for TFW this year 2009!!!!JIMMY FAY (drums, vocals) What can I say he started the longest running band in Chico "Spark n Cinder who has been successful for 30 some years and put out numerous records, (yes records) tapes, cd's. The Spark has opened for Mr. Bob Dylan. Jimmy is from New Jersey, and if you know Jimmy you know Jersey. Jimmy can play any musical style and he brings that to the table in each and every Three Fingers Whiskey show!!MIKE RILEY (bass guitar) What happens to alternative rock bassists from L.A. when they more to Northern California? They go country of course! Read more about Three Fingers Whiskey's bassist at www.myspace.com/TFWbassist! Mike was the original bassist for TFW. He had a couple of kids took two years off and then came running back to TFW (hahahah!) He had this "outlaw country" music running through his veins and had to come back! We are glad to have him back because Mike brings traditional solid bass work to TFW, yet he is very original all at the same time. Mike has been a huge part in making TFW's rhythm section VERY SOLID!....and danceable!!!!
