My name is Sam Aceves, and I currently help out in the worship ministry at my church. I lead worship there on occasion, but for the most part, I do my part in helping out anyway I can, whether it be by singing or by playing the guitar, or both. I've been singing since I was five years old, and I've been playing the guitar solidly for about five years now. I must confess, though, that singing is my forte, meaning it's what I like to do the most. I don't know why exactly.....that's just where I'm most comfortable. I started leading worship for our church high school study when I was a senior in high school, filling in whenever it was needed. Then, there was an opportunity to be a part of the main service worship, and I took it, singing for the midweek services,and wherever they needed help. I later started to play guitar for the evening services a few years after that, and I've been doing that for the last 4 years or so. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm thankful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the opportunities He's given me to worship Him in this way. My prayer is that the life God's given to me be a reflection of His love and grace to all that see it.
