I am really enjoying life right now and want to be better each day.....make some sort of difference. Eric and I would like to dedicate this website to help educate people about Neurofibromatosis (NF). For those of you that don't know, Kate our 4 year old daughter, has NF1. We found out when she was two years old because she has 6 or more cafe-au-lait birth marks. She is in perfect health right now but things can change at any time. NF is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow in different areas of the body. She can get a few tumors over her life time or thousands....and they can be anywhere on or in her body. You can also check out some of my friends pages below....they have some inspiring stories to be told!! In March 2007 my mom and I walked the GA ING half marathon to raise money for NF research. In September 2007 Eric, Alyssa, Christopher, Audrey and I did the half marathon in VA beach. This past year in March my mom, Marty, James, Jeanine, Heather, Eric and I did the GA ING half Marathon again. So far we have raised over $10,000 for NF research and we hope to keep making that number grow. This next marathon coming up in March 2009 will be special for us. Kate is going to be the NF Hero. You can read more at the Children's Tumor Foundation newsletter. We are really excited!! href:"http//:archive.constantcontact.com/fs017/1101879085422

We are looking to increase our team annually and you don't have to be a runner...you can walk too. If you want to feel that you are a part of something "big" please join us, the NF Marathon Team is an amazing bunch of people. All marathon donations to Children's Tumor Foundation will go 100 percent to research. Please help us to make a difference in our child's life as well as others!!I have come to a point in my life of true clarity. I don't have time for any of the typical negative daily BS. I think I realize all the important things in life and that family and friends are what matter. I want to improve each day and continue to make goals for myself. I want to make my daughter proud and be a good role model. I want to live each day better than the last.....and all those other cliches!!
