About Me

Russ and I spent a crap load a money to see The Police concert 06/26 ~ It was worth it! Be sure and check out some of our pics. The show was GREAT and we had 7th row seats so the pics came out better than I thought. I only wish I had our good camera with us :-( Of course the pics are 99.9% all Sting!

My Likes: I LOVE TV, MOVIES and MUSIC. I will be the first to admit that I'm addicted to TV but compared to my brother, my addiction is relatively mild. Russell and I will celebrate our 16th anniversary this year (although it doesn't seem that long) and have no children unless you count my parents or his grandmother or our kids on four legs. People are usually suprised that we've been married that long which either means we look pretty good for our age or they think we're crazy.
As for music, I have a WIDE variety that I listen to. Can't you tell by the MySpace music player? If you hop in my car you may get Big Band/Swing, psychedic 60's/70's rock, 'my generation' rock, classical, Gene Autry tunes or today's tunes. Sometimes Russell will ask, "Who's IS this???!!!". With me you just never know.
Let me just say right here, right now that I am a HUGE U2 fan so they will ALWAYS be my number 1! My brother has accused me of being a U2 'stalker' because I've met the band twice and we also met Bono and the Edge on our trip to Ireland. We stayed at The Clarence Hotel in Dublin, why? Because Bono and the Edge own it and I wanted to stay there - end of story. We took a day trip in the country and stopped outside the gates of Bono's house for a quick pic (which reminds me I need to scan some of those pics). I thought that was going to be the highlight of the trip but later that same night, we met Bono in the hotel bar and Edge later in the lobby. Bono wouldn't let us take a picture (although I did score a kiss - woo!) so we didn't even think about asking Edge. How dumb were we?! We tried not to act too stupid but I'm guessing it didn't work. I can die happy now but would love to go back to Ireland.
My number 2 band is Dave Matthews who I haven't met YET but I will work on it. My number 3 band is Live. We saw them 3 months after coming back from Ireland and scored autographs and pics from Ed and Chad (shoot! something else I need to scan! * PICS ADDED!! Check out the 'Star' slide show *). Once again we tried not to act too stupid but the verdict is still out on that one. Mainly because I told Ed, "Wow, you're taller than I thought!" Yes, I am the real brain in this dynamic duo. Ok, something else amusing is that we saw Harry Connick Jr. in Dallas about 5 years ago. His sweat was flung on me several times during the show~we were 2nd row center~very cool~some people would think that's gross but whatever! It was a hot show with his full band.
HATE - geckos when they sneak in the house, cooking, migraines, cleaning up dog crap in the back yard, painting, bills, when the electricity goes out during a storm, when the alarm clock goes off for work, my butt, the weeds in the front yard, the Texas summers...
Other general stuff about me:
LOVE - spending time with Mom & Dad, Starbucks, animals, Italian food, tex-mex food, Angelo's BBQ, Corona Light, crushed berry martini's, the zoo, any of the museums, window shopping, my electric blanket (one of the best presents I've gotten EVER!), Fall, going to antique malls, finding bargains...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Ok, there are plenty of people dead and alive I would LOVE to meet! Let's start out with J.C. and all the Saints (can I get an 'Amen!'). And in no particular order: Jimmy Stewart, Van Gogh, Monet, Charlton Heston (I can't think of him without picturing him as Moses or being in that goofy movie 'Soylent Green'), Abraham Lincoln, Johnny Depp (big woo!), Dave Chappelle, Will Ferrell, Joaquin Phoenix (big woo!), Drew Barrymore, Marilyn Monroe, Einstein, Leonardo DaVinci, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Kate Winslett, Leonardo DiCaprio (big woo!), Brendan Fraser, Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, Anthony Hopkins, Hugh Jackman, Jude Law, Jack Nicholson (even though he creeps me out a bit 'cause I always think of him in 'The Shining'), Christopher Walken (he creeps me out even more and I don't know why), Al Pacino, Lionel Barrymore, Guillermo del Toro, Reese Witherspoon, Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Donna Reed, The Little Rascals gang, Michael Caine, Robert de Niro, Anthony Quinn...I know I'm going on and on. I'll give you a break now!

Music:

I'm a HUGE U2 fan so they will ALWAYS be my number 1! Read ABOUT ME...I also love Dave Matthews, Live, The Police, GOOD 80's & 90's tunes, Big Band and Swing~is that a crazy mix or what?! That song by KORN on my player cracks me up because it reminds me of that South Park episode! You know what I'm talking about!!! Check out the video below. I also had to throw in Journey because it reminds me of when my nephew was a kid and that's all he would sing~too funny! Primus is in the mix just because they crack me up and Les Claypool is insane!
