Music is a form of expression. It is one of the only areas left in which one can submit a point of view without censorship. Hopefully it will stay that way. Or are we in denial????
Botaux Lacy (pronounced bo-talks lay-cie) formed in early 2007 when 'Inappropri-ot' and 'Baddy' enlisted the skills of 'Ramrod' on an acoustic rock project. Armed with a lethal set list, the boys set off on a recruiting mission. They then happened upon Bek and Johanna. From there they went on to record a demo "Demo of a Demo" and debut EP "Welcome to the World" and perform numerous shows around the Bris Vegas circuit from The Alley to the Valley and back.
During this time a Rock demon emerged and enslaved the lads, taking them down a long and twisting trail, showing them their true destiny. It was on this path evolution took a hold of this once 'soft rock' project and gave it a proverbial concrete pill. Somewhere along the way (details unknown), 'Shlapper' appeared from the misty haze. With nowhere left to go but up, the climb continues..
Another random yet relevant story: The name Botaux Lacy was happened
upon while in the process of recording their first demo. Five days prior to the recording Inappropri-ot had an emergency surgical procedure performed which inhibited the movement of the left side of his face (stitches inside his mouth).. Basically it appeared as though he had just had some sort of cosmetic surgery... Lacy also happens to be the last name of a band member.. Coincidence or conspiracy??????
