About Me

What about me? About me... about... me? I'm getting old, that's what's about me. I'm 38. So if the average life expectancy of an American male is now 74.6 years, I'm only guaranteed 36.6 more years of life. But, I've drank... a lot, so I'll probably die next year. I love where I live. I was born here, live here and will most likely die here. It's such a cliche to hate the town you were born in, and since Caro is a small town, people always say "there's nothing to do there". There's always something to do wherever you are if you make something for yourself to do. Blaming where you live is a cop-out. I'd much rather live here than any overcrowded city any day. Music is pretty much my life. I live, breathe, drink and eat Heavy Metal. All forms of it. I've been a fan of the genre for over 25 years and have built up a CD, cassette and vinyl collection numbering in the thousands. All original pressings, no CDR's. Well, I have some CDR's of albums I can't find or whatever, but I don't count them as part of my collection. I collect Metal as much as listen to it and even though I have a large collection, I still don't have 99% of the great Metal that is out there undiscovered by me. For over 3 years I wrote for an online Metal webzine where I did 300 album reviews, interviews and DVD reviews, most of them Folk, Viking and Pagan Metal oriented. After leaving, I took a break from writing for about a year, but I have recently started writing again for Highlands Webzine, a 'zine based out of Chile that is slanted more towards folk music, folk metal, viking metal and pagan metal. There probably isn't a more perfect place for me to write about the type of music I love. You can visit the site by going to http://www.highlandswebzine.com I have also started a MySpace group dedicated to Folk, Viking and Pagan Metal that you can go to and/or join by going to http://groups.myspace.com/folkmetaloftheworld I love the outdoors, especially in Winter. I like walking out there alone or with my black lab Skie. I can't stand sports. Please shoot me if I ever become one of those douchebags that sits around all weekend having their wives bring them beer to swill down while they watch sporting events on TV and scream coaching advice to the players. I'm also a big fan of video games, mostly console style RPG's. I love political satire/political humor. Any books by Bill Maher, Al Franken, Lewis Black, Michael Moore, Jon Stewart, etc. And I think I'm the biggest fan of Dragonlance novels on the face of this Earth. If you don't think that's true, my black lab's name is Skie, a name that is taken from the Dragonlance saga. The best way to get into a girls' bed is through her parents. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Very few people actually. I have met and talked to a lot of music personalities in the last 25 years, and they're just ordinary people to me anymore. Well, they're not ordinary, I love what they do, but I don't think of them as otherworldly gods that I have to meet like I used to when I was a young lad. I'm not much of an awe-struck person like I was when I was a kid and met Adam West. If I had to meet one person, it would be Warwick Davis because he played in my fave movie, Willow.

I'm lovin' Left 4 Dead.

Which is surprising, since I hate most shooters, no matter if they're 3rd or 1st person. Why do I hate shooters? Well, mostly because I suck at them due to too many years of playing RPG's almost exclu...

I can soon put my PS3 to use?

I bought myself a PS3 about a month ago even though there's no PS3 games I want. Why? Well, the $100.00 price drop on the one with the 60 gb hard drive was a reason, plus once they sold out of the 60 ...
