About Me

OUT MARCH 27TH, 2007!
The Fall - Reformation Post TLC 13 brand new studio recorded tunes set comfortably in angst-soaked, garage rock mortar. The US Version is enhanced with a stunning series of live videos shot during The Fall's recent show at NYC's Hiro Ballroom, as well as extended versions of album tracks "Reformation" and "Insult Song"...score.
Take a step back to the boiling summer of 2006. The Fall have just successfully completed 3 out of 16 U.S. tour dates when suddenly, controversy strikes. As Mark E. Smith and keyboardist/wife, Eleni Poulou soundly sleep in their Phoenix hotel, their guitarists and drummer hop on an international flight back to the UK in an angry huff, abandoning their band mates. It’s still uncertain what exactly happened in the desert that May to provoke such an exit, but whatever it was, it helped take The Fall into a refreshing new direction. Mark and Eleni decided to move on with the tour. A new group of backing musicians were dispatched (a group of Americans?!) and eventually the puzzle pieces were in place. The tour continued. Their scheduled recording session in LA was completed. The end result? The Fall’s latest full length Reformation Post TLC.
Reformation Post T.L.C. (a third full length for Narnack following 2005’s critically acclaimed Fall Heads Roll ) stands as proof it takes a lot more than some screwy controversy to stop the fate of Mark E. Smith.
Emerging from working-class Salford UK, The Fall formed in 1976 after vocalist and incomparably acid-tongued lyricist Smith decided he wanted a more personal vessel for his words, ideas and obsessions with literature. He found some like-minded compatriots and the first full-length, Live at the Witch Trials, soon followed. Many albums and many more band member changes later, Smith has lead The Fall in becoming what many critics consider to be the most prolific band of the British Punk movement. With his philosophical word play, knowledge of appealing song structure and bitterly controversial personality, Mark E. Smith has managed to front a band with not only a cult following, but also an impressive record of success on both the UK and US charts.
