Gasoline was formed in October of 2006. Dennis Blanchard, lead singer, proposed the idea of starting this band to guitarists Dean Sears and James MacNeil. Drummer, James Murphy, and bass player, Keith Owen, were recruited to round out the line up. All members of Gasoline have played in local area bands such Visually Impaired and FFOS.Gasoline was formed with the idea of writing songs that do not focus on one particular sound or genre. It is the overall composition and melody of the song that matters most to Gasoline.Gasoline hopes to develop a large local fan base by regularly playing shows in the surrounding area. The band hopes to draw fans in by the quality of music alone. The band does not target one particular audience, instead, it hopes to draw in crowds from different genres of rock music. The band is ready head out of Fayetteville, in search of new fans across NC!
The end of 2007 was great for Gasoline, lining up shows and starting to build a fanbase. In early 2008, Keith, left the band due to unforeseen circumstances. But that didn't slow Gasoline down. They stumbled across local bassist, Mike Monge! With fuel in the tank, and the new addition of Mike on bass, Gasoline is still on fire.
