GODSWILL – His life has been infused with a drive to OVERCOME! His story is one of Victory that is best captured by Philipians 4:13. {“I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me”.} Will Lane was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey. As the youngest of four children, it didn’t take long for the many obstacles and challenges that cause so many people to settle and quit to manifest in Will’s life. At the age of two, while walking in the yard while his older siblings were playing, a freak accident occurred that changed little Will’s life. An attempt to shoot a bird with a “sling-shot” and rock, ended with the rock bouncing off of the house and hitting little Will. After three surgeries, Will was diagnosed as being blind in one eye. Imagine the pain of a limitation being placed on you…Imagine the pain of childhood teasing..… .Imagine all of the “He will never be able to do this….He will never be able to do that!” The Only Thing Will Couldn’t Do was Agree with the Limitations. This God infused Heart to Overcome lead him to pursue his dream of playing Professional Football. Will played football from 3rd grade through High School. Then came college! Undersized and blind in one eye, many admired his heart, but didn’t really expect him to be able to overcome the level of competition. Step 1: The secret NO ONE COULD KNOW! Only a best friend, Coach and trainer shared in Will’s secret. Step 2: The Mentor Enter Apostle James D. Treadwell Jr. Will’s mentor and spiritual father. Will received a steady diet of Faith. Will learned how to speak faith. Will was trained in the power of Speaking Gods word over himself and seeing success follow. Not only was Will a 4year starter and team captain. Will received National and Divisional honors (ECAC, NJAC 1st team All-Star) and Will Lane has an interception record that could be pretty hard to break. (3 int’s in 1 game). Will Lane overcame setbacks, injury, blindness, and underestimation and excelled in pursuit of his dream. Agent contacts, NFL tryout invites soon followed. But then that’s when Will’s life really changed. With his life long dream in reach and grip. Will let it all go! Will was brought face to face with the true authentic purpose that God dispatched him for. Youth always ask GodsWill, “ How could you leave football for the ministry.” GodsWill laughs and tells them, “Gods will for your life is the only thing you will ever be truly successful in and satisfied with.” GodsWill’s heart is to impart the ability and anointing of the over comer. GodsWill’s passion is to impact minds, hearts and lives with the transforming word of God through his music. Style aside, GodsWill has a real intimacy with God. “My songs are gonna bang in your jeeps and in da’ clubs. But make no mistake about it, intimacy with God & the Overcoming lifestyle In Christ Jesus is the message” “I suffered from low self image, feeling imperfect, unworthy and unqualified. But! I overcame and I continue to overcome through the power of my Lord Jesus Christ and my Coach, Helper & Comforter – the Holy Spirit. That’s why I need to let the world know (Church & unChurched) that Gods will for us is a life of Victory, Happiness, Joy (in and out of adversity) , Abundance, Peace, Intimacy and plain ol’ fun in Christ.” GodsWill loves his life and is determined to live in God’s will, love doing God’s will and being GodsWill.
