I'm the kind of person who is bothered by the internet's obession with the individual, and therefore concepts like MySpace cause me to feel uneasy, and then when I find myself on it, required to tell the world 'About Me', well I start to think, who am I to even imagine that anyone out there has the remotest interest in knowing About Me. Except my frinds, of course, but they already know About Me! However, I had an epiphany the other day while on YouTube (another site devoted to the big YOU). Sharing it's interests; sharing it's love of a song, sharing it's interpretation of that song and being vulnerable with it. How beautiful it was to see that. The more we share, the more we will see that will are all part of the same family, that we belong to each other, and that we couldn't kill each other. So YouTube is saving us from those who take us to war, and so is MySpace. So perhaps I need to join the About Me revolution. So here goes: I am ...
