About Me

Professional Wrestling = Life. Ever since the days of a young man I have watched professional wrestling and have worshiped these people. Watching them on T.V. fascinated me. Wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and Bret Hart were my heroes. However, I do still respect those wrestlers greatly but my top three wrestlers of all time would have to be Mick Foley (all 3 gimmicks), Terry Funk, and Ric Flair. In wrestling, the legends never die, they get immortalized forever.
Watching how wrestling has changed over the years has also changed me. Watching the WWF, WCW, and ECW on any given weekday night was all I needed in the world to keep me happy. Watching the WWF loose a lawsuit to the World Wildlife Foundation crushed me. It still doesn't feel right calling them the WWE, and it never will. Although I will always watch the WWE I don't respect it as much as I used to. Seeing them change with the times and doing it wrong hurts.
Ever since The InVasion the WWE hasn't produced a product that I know it can produce. Fans haven't been happy with it and I am one of them. The InVasion could have been the greatest wrestling storyline ever, but the WWE screwed it up. It was also a sad day when WCW an ECW died. I respect them both in they were all about. I, myself, have always been a huge fan and mostly supported hardcore or extreme wrestling. Those wrestlers push their bodies to the limit for the fans, thats something I can respect. As for today I pay more attention to the Independent promotions such as; Ring of Honor and Combat Zone Wrestling rather than the big-guns, such as TNA or the WWE. The Independent circuit it what I believe wrestling should be all about. More focus on the wrestlers and the MATCHES, rather than the story-lines and character development. The Independent promotions such as Ring of Honor can save the industry if they get a T.V. deal. Showing the public what wrestling is all bout, none of these cheesy entrances with loads of fireworks and mediocre matches but rather more focus on the wrestling matches themselves. A wrestler should prove himself inside the squared-circle, not on the mic and try to become a glorified actor.
Wrestling has molded my life and I will never forget that, I will always be a wrestling fan, I won't ever turn my back on it.
