Tricie Taylor (born April Getward from Wilmington N.C.) Always had a passion for the arts, dancing, writing, singing, and acting. At the young age of 12 she was already quest hosting on the hot T.V. show,"ATLANTA JAMS" with Carol Blackman. Shortly after that, she began doing videos with the multiplatnum selling artist "TLC", where she was one of the dancers for the video "What About Your Friends". This was the pivotal moment in her life when she knew she wanted to become and entertainer.Tricie Taylor's sound could best be described as unfiltered, urban, and full of soul. If your only into the watered down , lollipop, unseasoned voices that we mostly hear in our music today then Tricie Taylor most definitely is not the young lady you want to mess with. She's an artist that is genuinely real and has no problem singing about the real deal no matter how harsh and honest. The singers/entertainers that have shaped and inspired her the most were the greats such as Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Tina Marie just to name a few.Just recently Tricie Taylor along with Dr. Banister decided it was time to start their own record label " 3 World Records". Taking matters into their own hands they will exceed the "normal" paradigm that only men can be the owners and be the CEOs of music empires. These two ladies are indeed nothing less than a force from an Higher Power, together they will conquer all that is set before them .Tricie Taylor's goal is to become a household name for generations to come and to change the music game as we know it!
